Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead

“He discovered the fact that all romantics know—that adventures happen on dull days, and not on sunny ones. When the chord of monotony is stretched most tight, then it breaks with a sound like song.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I know. This week there is only one release available for fans, is that?

Of course any Alan Silvestri release should be one of the highlights of the year. But in this case, on top of that, is the final chapter on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Avengers: Endgame" is everything you could expect from it... and much else. If "Avengers: Infinity War" was one of last year best releases. This goes beyond that, rounding a wonderful work that Silvestri started with "Captain America" in 2011. Eight years later, Silvestri does it again and offer a score full of everything you can expect. I really doubt that it dissapoints anybody. But its not the only release worth it this week...

A couple of TV series bring some very interesting vibes to fans. Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson are, once more, in charge of bring us a bit of nostalgia with "Cobra Kai: Season 2". This time, although the score remains small, there some very interesting added punch to the music with a bit more of orchestral music. And also, although with a certain delay since it's release two years ago, Nathan Barr see his wonderful acoustic western saga released finally. "The Son" is one of those bigger than life stories, which offer us the chance of hear the composer's delicate touch to it. Now that it's second season started airing last week in US.

For those more into ambience and modern sounds, there are a couple of very interesting proposals. Ben Lovett continues his horror streak with another very interesting film "I Trapped the Devil" tells us the story of a man whose life descends into paranoia after trapping what he believes to be the devil in his basement. Problem is when his family unexpectedly arrive for Christmas. So expect a dark turn in music and story. For those who love ambience and textures on their thriller music Nima Fahkrara offers us one of his usual dark and overwhelming scores. "Crypto" is one of those B series thriller that arrive periodically from US, that do not offer anything new, apart from some thrills and twists for genre lovers as the music states fairly well.

More attractive for fans would be the latest Alexis Rault score. French composers keeps his usual melodic heart upfront for latest Andre Techiné drama "L'adieu a La Nuit" which stars Catherine Deneuve. Another family drama in which a grandson visit, before he leaves for Canada, turns into a discovery. During the visit she will learn that he has dark secrets that will turn lifes around. Another return is that of composer Inon Zur, that brings us his powerful stroke to the new chapter of the saga "The Elder Scrolls: Blades". A great slice of action and heroic music that will make fans of videogames enjoy the game with and without consoles. See??... There is always more than meets the eye!
