For all of those who think that there is no interesting music for the audiovisual away from Williams or Zimmer, or anything else since 1950, here is your weekly look to just some of the most interesting scores released.

There are some well known names among those. Although probably the big dissapointment would be John Debney release for "The Beach Bum". With only around 15 minutes of Debney's score present at the end of a typical collection of classic pop-rock songs of the movie.

So, if somebody want to fill their cup with a good dosage of great music, better go ahead and listen to the last Alberto Iglesias work for a Pedro Almodovar's film. "Dolor y Gloria" is another masterclass full of style and good taste. Music full of emotion and melancholy, specially with those violin solos, that create a wonderful moving score.

But if we still need more first class music, french veteran Bruno Coulais returns again to collaborate with director Benoit Jacquot to tell us about "world's greatest lover" Giacomo Casanova in "Dernier Amour".

Also we can find some other names of very interesting composers, that continue to offer proff of his talent. Like Volker Bertelmann, better known as Hauschka, This time scoring a thriller based in the infamous siege of the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, India by terrorists. A film that was presented on the last Toronto Film Festival, with music that tries to capture plenty of the darkness and terror of such tragedy in "Hotel Mumbai".

Other name that deserves a bit more recognition is André Matthias. This time with a wonderful score that carries through it a prevailing sense of beauty, that still stays noticeable through the film’s more somber moments. "Wish You Were Here" is a score filled up with beauty and romantic moments. A perfect fit for those who love emotion in music.

Jerome Leroy, is a really young composer who started under William Ross' wings and that is developing a really attractive musical collection of works. Now he offer us an action thriller with "Killers Within". Another example of how he is another name to add to the list of "composers to watch".

And finally, Remo Anzovino, who probably would be the name less fans are related to. But as a great and eclectic italian composer and pianist, he always is inspired by film and visual media. And his last work, "Gaugin in Tahiti: Paradise Lost" is a real treat for melodic music aficionados out there.

A very interesting set of recommendations to start the week. If you ever feel that there is no interesting music out there... think again!
