Well, this week releases "The World of Hans Zimmer: A Symphonic Celebration" and "Celebrating John Williams" conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, probably, will concentrate most of the fans' love. Although the latest Williams compilation does not includes anything out of ordinary. And "symphonic" Zimmer includes stuff like "Spirit" or "Rush" that, at least, offers something not very common on Zimmer's concerts. But there are very interesting new releases from very interesting new composers and projects that deserve a bit more of attention from fans.

We can start with a very different sound from Fernando Velazquez, with his very 70's music for new Koldo Serra's thriller "70 Binladens" about a heist full of tricks and turns. A very different side from the symphonic composers many fans are accostumed to hear. But very enjoyable in itself!.

Meanwhile, Brian Tyler keep on expanding it's wonderful musical vocabulary into a new small enjoyable little film as "Five Feet Apart", together with Breton Vivian in it's first public credit. Although is a usual Tyler's collaborator in previous work like "Crazy Rich Asians" and the TV show "Yellowstone", is great to get recognition and a new name to add to our "composer to watch" list.

A bigger name is Clint Mansell. A composer that keeps working on very specific projects, but ones that always bring interest and attention. This time with "Out of the Blue", we will enjoy one of his usual moody and hipnotic scores for a neo-noir thriller focused on a murder investigation of an astrophysicist in New Orleans.

Moving into a more independent film terrain. multifaceted canadian musician Michael Brook brings us another of his delicate scores with "Giant Little Ones". One of those coming-of-age stories that appear periodically in movie theaters.

But the one that seems to break the mold is Rob Simonsen. Who appears to enter into sci-fi thriller mode for the first time with "Captive State". The new film from Rupert Wyatt that shows a future Chicago that has been invaded by an extra-terrestrial force, showing us how both sides adapt to these new situation after ten years.

Small screen brings us the return from David Carbonara ("Mad Men"), which scores the story behind a big star legend in "The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe". Focusing much deeper on different personal relationships behind the glamour and the star, Lifetime released the mini-series in 2015, but now we get the chance to enjoy its score.

And finally, Michael Abels releases his score for his new collaboration with Jordan Peele, after its massive success with "Get Out". Abels, again helps Peele to terrorize us, in a very special way, with the scary score to "Us". One that includes a couple of songs, among them Luniz's terrific remix of "I Got 5 on It", that could be heard on its trailer.

A lot of very interesting music that fans should keep an eye on.
